Mutual life of a cat and a cat

Mutual life of a cat and a cat

It can sound strange but the relationships between two cats can be really difficult and the life of two cats in the same house can cause some problems.

The most difficult situation is the relationships between the cat that has lived for a long time in the house and the newcomer. Being independent and lonely cats that live with other cats have some serious rules that are always kept by both sides.

Even if there are only two cats in the house their rights won't be the same. One cat will be the leader and the rest of cats will have to obey the leader. It is true for all groups of cats, even for those cats which don't live together but in neighborhood or homeless cats that live in groups. All the attempts to disobey are suppressed by the cat-leader who has the support of other cats.

And when the new cat appears it disturbs all the system of the made rules in the group. There is no exact place for the newcomer that is why it has to get its own place in the system of rules and the right to be in the new group of cats.

The newcomer will have to prove its right for the territory in the new house. The cat that lives alone in the house considers all members of the family to be the members of its group. That is why it takes measures of protection against the stranger.

In the case when cats have similar kind of temper, they will easily get used to one another and will live in piece and co understanding. But if one of the cats has aggressive temper the problems will appear. Sometimes a cat can hurt another one and won't allow occupying its territory. Two cats will fight until one of them is defeated and leaves a territory.

That is why it is better to take kittens at the same time or with the small interval. But the best situation is when kittens are of the same mother. The most important source of information for a cat is its sense of smell. Cats-relatives have similar smell that is why they communicate with each other better.

But it is necessary to think also about the territory of your house. Two cats need much more space. Besides cats are very individual and independent animals that is why they need the territory that would belong only to them. If a cat doesn't have a necessary territory then fights and conflicts between them will appear constantly.

It is also recommended to feed them from different plates. The cat should form definite opinion about where he eats and due to the independence of this animal it always needs individual equipment and first of all place to eat. A cat-leader can take all the food to him or the majority of food and then other cats won't get enough doze of calorie and vitamins for the day.

There are a lot of cases when two and more cats live together in mutual love and understanding. They sleep together, eat from one plate and take care of each other. That is why nothing bad will happen if the person takes two cats. Kittens that live with each other from childhood will play and grow together. Of course they will have some conflicts and fights, but it is not the most important thing, the most important is the fact that you'll enjoy the presence of two pets.
