Cats and women.
Cats and women have special relationships. During the whole history a woman and a cat were considered to have similar trades of character. Besides the traits of character and behavior such as gracefulness, delicacy and even hypocrisy were considered to be characteristic as for women as for cats.
In ancient times cats were the companions of goddesses and not of gods. In medieval times cats were considered to be the companions of witches and were executed with them.
According to statistics the majority of cats-keepers are women, especially single. Of course there are a lot of men who keep cats and love them and properly take care of them. But they don't feel so much excitement having a cat like women do.
The reason is that men and women have different psychology. Women are more emotional that is why they express their feelings more often and need someone to listen to them. In such cases a cat is the one who is always ready to listen to and to support by peaceful purring. Women pay more attention to their pets; they express more tenderness and love to them while men are more reserved and strict. That is why cats express more tenderness and care to women and less to men.
In the family the woman is the person who feeds the cat, cleans its toilet that is why a woman spends more time with it.
Some scientists suppose that a woman expresses the instinct of a mother to the cat. They contend that the proportions of the sizes of the cat's eyes and head are similar to the sizes of the baby. And the associations appear on subconscious level of a woman. Scientists also prove their opinion by the fact that cats also like the tenderness.
Very often women behave with cats as with children. But only young girls and ages women behave like that. The average women in the age of 25-55 don't do that.
Cats really can save a person from depression. Women are very emotional and suffer from depressions more often than men, so cats are particularly useful for them.
